Gavin Sills

Gavin Sills is currently the R&D Corporate Director-Americas and R&D Rubus Director at Planasa, where they focus on developing top cultivars for temperate and subtropical production areas. Prior to this role, Gavin served as the Global Plant Breeding Director for Blackberry at Driscoll's from 1998 to 2024. They are pursuing a PhD in Plant Breeding and Plant Genetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Through their work, Gavin emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in achieving consistent and high-quality cultivar development.
