Ben Hughes

Ben Hughes is the EVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Planet Home Lending. Prior to joining Planet Home Lending, Ben served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at American Bank, N.A. from October 2017 to October 2020. In this role, Ben oversaw the development and implementation of human resources strategies and practices.

Before American Bank, Ben was the Head of Human Resources - Americas at Hudson Advisors L.P. from February 2017 to August 2017. In this role, they led the Global Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and HRIS functions and the HRBP team supporting the U.S., Canada, and Latin America for Hudson Advisors.

Since the inception of Lone Star’s first fund, Hudson has provided due diligence and analysis, asset management and other support services to approximately 950,000 assets with an aggregate purchase price of more than $180 billion (including acquisition financing and co-investors). Hudson maintains strategic oversight of specialty management firms that are owned by certain of Lone Star’s funds to service certain assets requiring specific management expertise.

Ben Hughes received a BA in Ben'story from the University of North Texas. Ben then attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
