Joost Beckers

Joost Beckers is an experienced professional with an extensive background in remote sensing, hydrology, and project management. Currently serving as Manager of EMEA Presales at Planet since December 2021, Joost previously held the position of Senior Remote Sensing Scientist at VanderSat, contributing to the Water & Climate team. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Specialist/Advisor at Deltares, focusing on flood risk management and hydrology from February 2007 to April 2020. Joost also chaired the NKBV Regio Haaglanden from March 2012 to March 2014 and held various research and advisory positions at KNMI and Rijkswaterstaat. Joost's academic credentials include a PhD in Computational Physics from Delft University of Technology and an MS in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Groningen.
