Libby Mai

Libby Mai serves as the Head of Internal Audit and Senior Director at Planet, with responsibilities including functional reporting to the Audit Committee and administrative reporting to the President and Chief Financial Officer. As a co-founder of the Tessellations School for Gifted PreK-12 Students, Libby Mai focuses on enhancing experiential education for gifted learners. A sabbatical from August 2022 to January 2025 has allowed Libby Mai to engage in family activities and exploration. Prior to these roles, Libby Mai was the Head of Risk and Compliance at Waymo, where the compliance function and controls framework were established. Libby Mai also held the position of Manager of Compliance at Nimble Storage, leading various audits for SOX implementation. Libby Mai’s academic background includes a B.S. in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
