Logan Smith

Logan Smith has extensive experience in flight software and embedded systems engineering, currently serving as Manager of Flight Software at Planet since September 2020, after a role as Senior Flight Software Engineer. Previously, Logan was a Flight Software Engineer at Open Lunar Foundation for a brief period before the program's cancellation. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Embedded Software Engineer and Flight Software Engineer at Impossible Aerospace, where skills encompassed system architecture and software development. Work at Southwest Research Institute involved developing low-level drivers and high-level software libraries, while earlier roles included contributions to internal combustion engine research and automated data collection at Honeywell FM&T. Logan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
