Luigi Mascolo

Luigi Mascolo is a Senior Astrodynamics Engineer at Planet, specializing in mission design, orbit determination, and maneuver optimization for various satellite fleets. With extensive experience in multi-objective mission campaign optimization and constellation management, Luigi has contributed to low-thrust maneuver planning and space weather research. In addition to work at Planet, Luigi serves as an Adjunct Professor in Spaceflight Mechanics and Space Propulsion at Politecnico di Torino, while also holding roles such as CFO and co-founder of DRAFT PoliTO, an autonomous drone technology initiative. Luigi's academic background includes a PhD and multiple degrees in aerospace engineering from Politecnico di Torino and has held positions at notable organizations including NASA and CERN.
