Marcus Apel

Marcus Apel serves as the Director of Strategic Accounts Europe at Planet. since January 2016, previously holding multiple director-level positions at BlackBridge, including Director for Europe and Director of EU Governmental Markets. Apel has extensive experience in strategic sales management, particularly with European governments and organizations such as ESA, EEA, EC, and UN. Prior to joining the geoinformation services sector, Apel worked as a Research Assistant at the Museum for Natural History in Berlin and earned a Ph.D. in Paleontology/Biology. Apel holds a Diploma in Geology and Paleontology from the University of Goettingen.
