Ryan Scott

Ryan Scott is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently employed at Planet since December 2019, Ryan has previously held positions at Canadensys Aerospace Corporation, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, L-3 WESCAM, Dalhousie University, the University of Toronto, and National Steel Car Ltd. Key contributions include mechanical support for space-based missions, the design of the 6U CubeSat payload, and the development of temperature control technology for tablet computers. Ryan’s technical skills involve proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and SolidEdge, programming in Python, and hands-on experience with experimental setups and machine tools. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University, earned in 2018.
