Rizwan Khan

Rizwan Khan has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Rizwan began their career as an Auditor at Rahim Iqbal Rafiq & Company (Chartered Accountants) in 1997. Following that, they worked as an Assistant Manager in Finance at Aero Asia International, an airline company, from 2001 to 2003.

In 2003, Rizwan joined Nielsen as the Controller for Finance & Accounting. Rizwan held various responsibilities in this role, including reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, corporate affairs, and taxation. Rizwan was also authorized by the Board of Directors to represent the company in agreements.

Continuing their career progression, Rizwan joined Zafa Pharmaceutical Laboratories (Private) Limited in 2014 as the Manager of Accounts. In this position, they managed relationships with suppliers and service providers and oversaw import activities and bank coordination. Rizwan also handled the preparation of annual financial statements and coordinated with external auditors for the statutory audit.

In 2017, Rizwan took on the role of Senior Manager Finance at Shukrana (Private) Limited. Following that, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at Indiraaj from 2017 to 2019.

Rizwan's freelance work began in 2019 when they established Mohammad Back Office Services. As a Professional Freelancer, they provided comprehensive financial consulting and corporate and tax compliance services to companies. These services included financial accounting, taxation, financial reporting, payroll management, HR recruitment, and ERP/software setup and management.

Currently, Rizwan holds the position of Group CFO & Company Secretary at Planet N Group of Companies, starting in May 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Group Financial Controller for the same company from 2019 to April 2023.

Rizwan Khan has a diverse education history in the field of Accounting and Finance. Rizwan began their educational journey at Ladybird Grammar School, where they obtained their Matriculation degree in Science in 1992. Rizwan then attended D.J Sindh Government Science College and completed their Intermediate in Science in 1994.

Continuing their studies, Rizwan enrolled at The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan from 1994 to 1996, during which they achieved the status of CA Finalist and passed the CA Intermediate exam. In 1996, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Karachi, specializing in Accounting and Finance.

Expanding their knowledge and skills, Rizwan attended Preston Institute of Management, Science, & Technology from 2002 to 2003. Here, they acquired a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, focusing on Accounting and Finance.

Rizwan's thirst for knowledge led him to obtain additional certifications alongside their formal education. In 2002, they completed a Finance Training Program at Aero Asia Training Center. Later in 2009, they attended a workshop on "Managing People & Performance" at Nielsen. In 2012, they participated in a workshop on "Consultative Influencing Skills," also at Nielsen. The following year, Rizwan broadened their expertise by completing a workshop on "Improving profitability through better HR practices for SMEs" at SMEDA.
