Planet Reimagined
James Appleton is a Fellowship Program Intern at Planet Reimagined, responsible for planning and managing logistics for online events and meetings, tracking operational progress, and managing fellowship applications. In the past, James has worked as a Communications Intern at One World Media and as a Political Organizing and Legislative Advocacy Intern at The Campaign for New York Health. James has also gained experience in education and civil rights at Redhouse Theater/Syracuse City School District and Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. James holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Economy from Georgetown University.

Planet Reimagined is a thought and action tank, pursuing a self-produced collection of sustainability initiatives. With the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework, Planet Reimagined collaborates with individuals, businesses, nonprofits, academics, and creators to increase awareness, activism, and action in the intersectional sustainability space. Creative problem solving is the backbone of the organization; Planet Reimagined works across sectors and across genres, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to sustainable development. Current work streams include a podcast, a research and campaign fellowship, and an incentive based advertising initiative.
