Planetary Health Alliance
Nia Clements, MPH, is currently a Graduate Student Researcher at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, focusing on the role of veterinary diagnostic facilities during COVID-19. Nia also serves as a Graduate Student Assistant at OKB Hope Foundation, working on healthcare accessibility interventions in rural Ghana. As a Campus Ambassador with the Planetary Health Alliance, Nia is developing curricula to address climate change's impact on indigenous communities. Additional roles include analyzing survey data for Cornell University Public Health Program, coaching justice-involved youth at Cornell University ILR School, and conducting qualitative research on mosquito-borne diseases with the Northeast Regional Center for Excellence in Vector-Borne Diseases. Nia has extensive volunteer experience as a Volunteer Coordinator at EL BARI Community Health Center and previously coordinated patient safety initiatives in Texas. Nia holds a Master of Public Health in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Trinity University.
