Carly Hammond has been working in the field of technical support since 2007. Carly began their career as a Laboratory Technician at Inspectorate International Ltd. in 2007. In 2010, they took a maternity cover role as a Quality Control Technician at Thermo Fisher Scientific. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Technical Support Specialist at Innova Biosciences, where they were also a Quality Manager and Scientist. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Technical Support Manager at Radleys, where they set up the department from scratch and managed and trained junior members of staff. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Customer Success - Customer Support Engineer / Technical Pre-Sales Engineer / Product Trainer at Gearset. Most recently, they have been working as a Technical Account Manager at Planhat since 2022.

Carly Hammond attended Plume School from 1999 to 2006, during which they earned A Levels in Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, English Literature and Carly'story. Carly then attended the University of East Anglia from 2007 to 2010, where they received a BSc in Biochemistry.
