Umut Yurdakök

Umut Yurdakök started their career in 2009 as a Developer at Non Fiction AB. In 2010 they moved to Aurora Borealis Consulting AB where they worked as a System Developer. In 2011, they joined iZettle where they held the roles of Tech Manager - Tech Foundation, Tech Lead - Merchant Sales, and Software Engineer. In 2021, they moved to Planhat as a Developer. At iZettle, they reported directly under the CTO and managed 6 teams of 40 people responsible for cloud infrastructure, core backend services, and the data platform. As a Tech Lead, they had to have a long-term technical vision, align expectations with reality, ensure compliance, and prioritize scalability and resiliency. Umut was also the technical lead for iZettle's E-commerce project. As a Software Engineer, they architected, coded, and scaled a highly distributed, redundant finance platform from scratch.

Umut Yurdakök obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology between 2005 and 2009.
