Matt Urmson

Matthew Urmson is an experienced urban forestry planner currently working at PlanIT Geo™ since May 2023, where responsibilities include managing urban forest management projects for municipalities in the United States. Previous experience includes serving as Park Supervisor for the City of Glenwood Springs from June 2021 to May 2023, overseeing maintenance operations and staff management for local parks. Prior to that, Matthew worked as Greenhouse Operations Manager at Mountain Valley Developmental Services from December 2018 to June 2021, where supervision of a team and management of greenhouse operations were key duties. Additional roles include Animal Keeper at The Maryland Zoo and Senior Technician at the University of Alberta. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from Penn State University and a Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Ambrose University.
