Lauren Walters

Lauren Walters is an experienced professional in sexuality education and community outreach, currently serving as the Capacity Building Manager at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte since May 2018. In this role, Lauren designs and evaluates capacity building models for diverse organizations in California and Nevada, focusing on the unique needs of BIPOC communities. Previous positions include Program Manager for Peer Education and Regional Program Manager at Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, where Lauren oversaw peer education programs and expanded outreach efforts across multiple counties. Lauren has also worked as a Community Outreach and Education Specialist with Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon, a Global Youth Ambassador for Planned Parenthood Global, an English teacher at IBELC English Academy, and an intern at Fundación Niños con Valor. Lauren holds a Master of Public Health degree from Boston University with a focus on International Health and has a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from California State University, Monterey Bay.
