Denise Castro

Denise Castro is a skilled Community Engagement and Education Specialist II at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest since December 2019, where responsibilities include delivering educational presentations on reproductive health and implementing tailored curricula for youth. Previously, Denise served as the Y AIM Youth Advocate and North End Outreach Center Director at the YMCA of Greater Springfield from September 2014 to August 2019, overseeing operations, providing training and education to over 40 youth daily, and organizing significant community events while fostering strategic partnerships. Denise holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Green Mountain College, earned in 2014.
