Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest
Toni Marengo-Barbick has a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology. Toni currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest since May 2018. Toni also holds various roles at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), including District IX Treasurer since September 2022 and District IX Secretary from September 2020 to September 2022. Toni is a Fellow at Physicians for Reproductive Health starting from October 2021. In the past, they held leadership positions at ACOG as a Section Chair and Vice Chair in District IX, Section 8, from 2014 to 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Staff Ob/Gyn Physician at Naval Medical Center San Diego from November 2010 to May 2018. Toni completed their MD at UCI from September 2007 to October 2010 and served as LCDR, Medical Corps in the US Navy from July 2004 to July 2007.
Toni Marengo-Barbick obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stanford University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Toni then went on to pursue a medical career and obtained their MD degree from Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, graduating between 1996 and 2000. Following that, they completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 2000 to 2004.
In terms of additional certifications, Toni became a Board Certified Obstetrician Gynecologist through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) in November 2006. Toni also earned the Diplomate title from the same institution in the same month and year.
