Sara C. has extensive work experience in the field of public health and education. Sara most recently served as the Vice President of Education at Planned Parenthood Federation of America, starting in October 2018. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at SIECUS: Sex Ed for Social Change from April 2018 to September 2020. Before that, they were the Director of the Love Heals Center for Youth & Families at GMHC from November 2017 to October 2018. Sara also has experience in academia, having worked as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at York College of the City University of New York from January 2015 to May 2018, and at CUNY School of Public Health for a brief period in 2015. Following their undergraduate studies, Sara pursued a Master of Public Health degree at The George Washington University from 2001 to 2003, focusing on Health Promotion. Finally, they attended The Graduate Center, City University of New York from 2010 to 2016, where they earned a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree. Their research interests primarily revolve around sexuality education for young people.
