Frederick Matheu is an experienced healthcare professional and clinical laboratory scientist specializing in blood banking, with over 25 years of honorable service in the US Navy and extensive leadership roles in blood program management. Currently serving as the Functional SME Lead for EBMS-D Sustainment at Planned Systems International since July 2016, Frederick leads project teams in configuring and supporting enterprise blood management devices while acting as the primary liaison between the Department of Defense blood banking community and the project team. Notable previous positions include Director of the Joint Blood Program at USPACOM, Regional Director for various Blood Systems Program Management Offices, and Director of the Theater Joint Blood Program Management Office at USCENTCOM. Frederick holds a Master’s degree in Health Services from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Southern New Hampshire University.
