Jim Long, CFA, CFP®, CMFC®, has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Jim started their career at Motorola as a Field Sales Engineer from 1996 to 1999. Jim then moved to ON Semiconductor as a Sr. Field Sales Engineer for a year before joining Microchip Technology in 2000 in a similar role. In 2004, Jim transitioned to the financial industry and worked as an Investment Consultant at Edward Jones for a brief period before joining TIAA-CREF as a Sr. Financial Consultant. Jim spent 12 years at TIAA-CREF before their current role as the Director of Investments at Planning Alternatives, where they have been since 2016.
