Clayton Rector began their career in 2009 as a Medical Assistant at Premier Urgent and Family Care. In 2011, they moved to AutoTec, LLC where they worked as a Software Application Tester. In 2015, they joined Planning Center, initially as a Customer Support Specialist and later as Support Manager.

Clayton Rector attended Liberty University from 2007 to 2009 and the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2003 to 2006. Clayton also holds certifications from Asana, Tethr, and Notion, including the Asana Ambassador, Tethr Insight Builder Certification, Notion Essentials Badge, and Notion Settings & Sharing Badge, which they obtained in November 2022 and October 2022 respectively.
