Paul D. Smith

Paul D. Smith is an experienced professional in safety, security, and operations management. Currently serving as a School Marshal for Plano ISD since November 2023, Paul is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. Previously, Paul worked at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport from October 2017 to November 2023 in various roles, including Assistant Terminal Experience Manager, where recognition was received as Air Transport World’s 2019 Airport of the Year. Paul has a strong background in logistics and transportation, having managed operations for Lone Star Overnight and served as Senior Manager of Parking & Transportation Services at The University of Texas at Dallas. With earlier experience as a police officer and dispatcher at UT Dallas Police Department, Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on Homeland Security & Emergency Management from Colorado Technical University and several relevant certifications.
