Patrick Doyle has extensive work experience in the agricultural industry. Patrick is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Development and Regulatory at Plant Health Care, Inc. Since joining in 2021. Prior to this role, Doyle worked as the Director of Product Development/Regulatory at Plant Response from 2019 to 2021. In this position, they were responsible for commercializing product candidates and technologies within global agricultural markets, as well as overseeing formulation chemistry and ensuring product compliance.
Before joining Plant Response, Doyle worked as a Product Development and Regulatory Sciences Leader at Agriculture and Life Sciences for a short period in 2019. Patrick has also gained significant experience at Syngenta Biotechnology Inc., where they served as the Head of R&D Quality Management from 2010 to 2019. In this role, they led a global team in implementing quality management systems and designed quality control systems to mitigate product complaints.
Doyle's previous experience includes working as a Business Development Manager and Scientific Advisor at Syngenta Crop Protection Canada Inc. from 2008 to 2010, where they led cross-functional teams in acquiring and commercializing third-party products. Patrick also worked at Syngenta Crop Protection Canada Inc. as a Regulatory Manager from 2000 to 2007, overseeing regulatory strategies and developing harmonized registration dossiers for various products.
Additionally, Doyle has worked at Novartis Crop Protection AG and Novartis Crop Protection Canada Inc. in various roles, including Product Manager and Development and Technical Services Manager. Patrick was responsible for directing product launches, managing portfolios, and overseeing R&D programs and services.
Earlier in their career, Doyle worked at Ciba-Geigy Canada Ltd., where they conducted field trials and managed a research farm for crop protection and seed treatment products. Patrick also co-authored chapters in a textbook summarizing soil and crop research at the University of Saskatchewan.
Throughout their career, Doyle has demonstrated expertise in product development, regulatory strategies, quality management, and business development.
Patrick Doyle has a strong educational background in the field of science. Patrick holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Guelph. Prior to that, they completed an M.Sc. in Soil Science / Biochemistry and a B.Sc. (Agriculture) in Soil Science / Chemistry, both from the University of Saskatchewan.
In addition to their academic achievements, Patrick Doyle has also obtained several certifications related to business and project management. Patrick completed a certification in Business Change Management from Change Guides in September 2015. In October 2012, they obtained a certification in Managing Successful Programmes from APM Group. Furthermore, in February 2012, they achieved the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
