Sequoia Perpetua-Lowry has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2016, they worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Eckerd College, assisting a professor with laboratory setup, grading, and student assistance. They also interned at Vashon Nature Center and conducted independent research at CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange. In 2017, Sequoia served as the Co-Director of Marketing and Media Management at Palmetto Productions, managing social media accounts and executing event planning. In 2018, they worked as a Sales Associate at Florida Pure Sea Salt and as a Lovejoy Conservation Intern at New England Wild Flower Society. Sequoia's roles at Trader Joe's included being a Crew Member, where they operated pallet jacks, prepared samples, and focused on customer engagement. Currently, Sequoia holds the position of a Research Associate at Plant Health Care, Inc., where they are responsible for managing growth chambers and plant specimens for testing new discoveries.

Sequoia Perpetua-Lowry pursued their higher education at Eckerd College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree between 2014 and 2018. During this time, Sequoia specialized in Biology and Spanish. In 2016, they also enrolled in a program at CIEE Tropical Ecology and Conservation, focusing on Tropical Ecology and Spanish.
