Valerie Foulkes

Valerie Foulkes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international development and advocacy. Currently serving as the Strategic Initiatives Manager at Plant With Purpose since February 2016, Valerie has successfully built a Texas fundraising hub and is now focused on expanding global tree planting partnerships under the Thrive 25 strategic plan. Prior roles include Program Coordinator at YMCA International Services, managing programs for refugees and victims of human trafficking, and Advocacy Advisor at Save the Children International, where Valerie represented the organization at the United Nations and coordinated multiple global health campaigns. Earlier experience includes roles as a Policy Researcher, Associate at Global Policy Forum, and Reporter for the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies. Valerie holds an MA in International Relations from McGill University, a certificate in socio-economic policies for child rights from UNICEF, and a BA in Political Science from Western University.
