Erik Oesterholt has a wealth of experience in the business development and project management field, currently serving as a senior project manager and business developer at PLANTICS B.V. Erik is also the owner of CC Concepts. Prior to their current roles, Erik worked as a Business Development Manager at Nouryon and held various positions at AkzoNobel, including Category Manager, Sales Manager, and Senior Process Engineer. Erik holds a PDEng degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Twente and completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Groningen.

Plantics B.V., founded in 2014, is a spin-off from the University of Amsterdam and builds on a revolutionary invention. This has resulted in a unique group of 100% bio-based thermoset resins and the world’s first 100% bio-based thermoset materials. Together with its partners, Plantics develops high-quality, circular, and CO2 negative products. Plantics has already received several prestigious awards and subsidies, such as the European Forum of Biobased Industries Pitch Fest award at the end of 2018 and a European SME Horizon 2020 in 2019. Recently, Plantics has been elected together with its partner ‘Vepa the furniture factory’ as the winner of the global innovation award "Renewable Material of the year 2021".
