Lauren Fridman

Lead Biomechanist at Plantiga

Lauren Fridman is a Lead Biomechanist at Plantiga, a company that specializes in 3D scanning technology and custom orthotics. Prior to joining Plantiga, Lauren worked as a researcher at Braceworks Custom Orthotics, where they used chest wall shape data from patients with pectus carinatum to find patterns and commonalities as a means for streamlining assembly of corrective braces and finding new solutions. Lauren also began implementation of 3D scanning technology to take full chest wall scans of patients. Before that, Lauren worked as an SAT course instructor at Selects Performance Inc., where they taught high school students about the fine points of reading and writing in order for them to achieve high scores on their SATs and get into their desired universities.

Lauren Fridman has a Honours Bachelor’s Degree with minor in Mathematics from Simon Fraser University and certification from WHMIS.
