Mariana Freire has extensive work experience in various marketing and communications roles. Mariana began their career as a CO-OP Student at Playstone solutions in 2010. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Marketing Intern at Pontes Hotéis & Resorts. Mariana then joined Boire Filler Group in 2012 as a Marketing and Business Analyst, where they developed reports and presentations based on data analysis and managed data traffic. In 2015, Mariana worked as a Sales Representative at BMO Financial Group before transitioning to Pet Valu, where they held multiple roles including Loyalty Administrator & Analyst, Private Label Brand and Loyalty Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator. From 2017 to 2021, they worked at McLuhan & Davies Communications, Inc. as a Marketing & CRM Specialist and later as a Global Marketing & Relationship Manager. Most recently, Mariana worked at Sol Cuisine from 2021 to 2023, where they served as the Manager of Communications & Consumer Relations.

Mariana Freire completed their postgraduate degree in Strategic Relationship Marketing from George Brown College in the period of 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Social Communications - Advertising from UniFBV Wyden from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Mariana has also earned several certifications. Mariana obtained a certification in Writing a Press Release from LinkedIn in September 2020, and completed an Introduction to Programmatic Advertising - Digital Marketing course from Udemy in March 2020. Mariana also holds a certification in Digital Marketing Management from the University of Toronto, obtained in September 2015. Furthermore, Mariana has achieved a Google Analytics Certification from Google in October 2020.
