Joe Ying

Joe Ying has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and leadership. Joe is currently working at Planworth as a Development Team Lead since June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Planworth from March 2020. Joe also worked at Commit as an Engineering Partner starting in January 2020. Previous to that, Joe worked at SEDNA Systems as a Senior Frontend Developer/Team Lead from March 2018 to December 2019. Joe co-founded Seedspace Social Ltd, a cloud-based chat service company, where they served as a Co-Founder from August 2016 to March 2018. Joe's earliest work experience was at Hootsuite, where they worked as a Web Engineer from November 2011 to July 2016. During their time at Hootsuite, they designed and built the Hootsuite App Directory, an integration platform with multiple third-party apps and millions of installations, and also won the first place in the 2015 Hootsuite Hackathon.

Joe Ying attended Simon Fraser University from 2005 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computing Science.
