Jim Thomsen

Jim Thomsen is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in defense and technology sectors. Currently serving as President of Seaborne Defense, LLC since June 2015, Thomsen also holds positions as Board Chairman of Domo Tactical Communications' Government Solutions unit and PLASAN North America. As a Senior Advisor at Renaissance Strategic Advisors, Thomsen contributes insights garnered from prior roles, including Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition, and Program Executive Officer for Littoral and Mine Warfare at the Department of Defense. Additionally, Thomsen is a Board Member of the Army R&D Board for The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine until July 2024. Academic qualifications include a B.S. in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, an M.S. in Management from Florida State University, and studies at Harvard Kennedy School.
