Mahesh Ramu

Mahesh Ramu has a strong and diverse work experience spanning over several years. Most recently, they served as the Vice President of Strategy at MicroAI, starting in February 2018. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President of Operations at Plasma from 2015 onwards.

Before joining MicroAI and Plasma, Ramu worked at Infosys Consulting Inc as a Principal, Management Consulting Services, where they played a crucial role in developing management and IT strategies. During their tenure at Infosys, they worked with Fortune 100 organizations in the Energy and Telecom sectors to enhance business performance and achieve superior operations. Ramu also played a key role in envisioning, developing, and delivering road-maps to implement corporate strategies. Their time at Infosys spanned from 2008 to 2015.

From 2005 to 2007, Ramu worked at EDS Group (now HP services) as a Senior Management Consultant, Corporate Strategy & Economics. In this role, they helped executive management gain insights into operations by implementing a methodology to benchmark operations, productivity, efficiency, financial performance, and quality across client accounts. Their efforts resulted in identifying cost savings opportunities worth approximately $45 million.

Ramu's career began at BMC Software Inc, where they served as a Senior Consultant, Best Practices from 1998 to 2004. In this role, they formulated and implemented best practices to improve the productivity of IT consultants. Mahesh also strategized and implemented knowledge-sharing procedures for large professional services teams, ultimately leading to better customer satisfaction.

Prior to BMC Software Inc, Ramu worked at Norwegian Cruise Line as a Project Manager, Air-Sea from 1996 to 1998. Here, they developed strategies for managing airline seats inventory and supervised a team working on a complex solution for exchanging information with commercial airlines. Mahesh also led a team that designed and deployed an automated service provisioning and billing system for a major telecommunications company.

Ramu began their career as a Software Engineer at Mastech Systems Corp. from 1994 to 1996.

Mahesh Ramu obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mysore. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Texas at Austin. In addition, they completed a project and thesis in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) during the period of 1991 to 1992.
