Yang Zhang

Co-Founder at Plasmic

Yang Zhang has a diverse work experience in various research and engineering roles. Yang co-founded Plasmic in 2019 and was previously a co-founder at Infer, Inc. from 2010 to 2019. Yang also worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at MIT from 2005 to 2010, where they designed and built an adaptive database partitioning engine. Yang was a Researcher at Microsoft in 2009, working on secure sandboxing of native applications, and at Yahoo! in 2009. In 2007, Yang worked as a Researcher at Google, contributing to the Dataspaces research project. Yang was also a Researcher at IBM in 2005 and a Software Design Engineer at Microsoft Corp. in 2004.

Yang Zhang attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science). Following this, Yang enrolled at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science from 2005 to 2010.
