Marina Tarunina

Research Director at Plasticell

Marina Tarunina has over 25 years of experience in research and development. Marina began their career in 1992 as a Postdoctoral Scientist at the Marie Curie Research Institute. In 1999, they moved to the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, where they held the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate, analyzing the role of p53 related p63 family of proteins in cellular senescence. In 2005, they joined Inpharmatica Ltd as a Senior Scientist, where they were responsible for drug discovery in the therapeutic area of metabolic disease with a focus on Type 2 Diabetes and Dyslipidemia. In 2006, they joined Plasticell Limited as Research Director and then Principal Scientist.

Marina Tarunina holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Saint Petersburg State University.
