Mónica Mancilla Cooke

Mónica Mancilla Cooke, MS, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-DOO, currently serves as the Senior Director of Human Resources at the Plastics Industry Association since September 2022. Prior to this role, Mónica was a Human Resources Manager at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP for a brief period in 2022. Mónica has extensive experience in human resources, having held positions including Senior Director of Human Resources at the Information Technology Industry Council from March 2019 to March 2022, and Senior Human Resources Generalist at the American Petroleum Institute before that. Previous roles include Human Resources Generalist and Coordinator at SoundExchange and Human Resources Consultant at The International Baccalaureate. Mónica's career began at the International Republican Institute as a Human Resources Coordinator and Assistant. Mónica earned a Master of Science in Management with a focus on Human Resources Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, along with a Human Resources Management certificate and a Bachelor of Science in Management from George Mason University, as well as an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Northern Virginia Community College.
