Cathy Pedtke has worked in a variety of roles in the food and hospitality industry. Cathy began their career in 2012 as a Cheesemonger at Formaggio Kitchen. Cathy then worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Computer Science department at Boston University - Metropolitan College. In 2013, they became a Chef at Uncommon Feasts, a small catering company, restaurant, and cafe specializing in rustic French cuisine and classic American comfort food. In 2015, they took on the role of Education Coordinator at Lovin' Spoonfuls and Production Manager at al FreshCo. In 2020, they worked as a Recipe Coordinator and Project Manager at PlateJoy and a Cooking School Teacher at Christopher Kimball's Milk Street. Most recently, in 2022, they became an Associate Product Manager at RVO Health.

Cathy Pedtke obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from Paul Smith's College in 2011. Cathy then attended Boston University Metropolitan College from 2012 to 2014 where they earned a MLA in Gastronomy- Food Policy. In 2018, Cathy obtained an Amateur Radio License from the Federal Communications Commission. In 2019, they were TIPS Certified from TIPS and obtained their ServSafe from the National Restaurant Association.
