Brian Carroll

Sr Manager Strategy & Operations at Platform Accounting Group

Brian Carroll has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Brian started their career as a Market Research Intern at the Daily Herald Newspaper in 2008. Brian then worked at Teach for America as a 6th Grade Math Teacher and later as a Learning Team Leader from 2009 to 2011. Following that, they joined Dallas ISD as a Math Coach and Teacher from 2011 to 2012.

In 2013, Brian worked as a Marketing Intern at Hanesbrands Inc., where they managed multiple projects and made recommendations to senior management. Brian then joined Michaels Companies, Inc. in 2014 as a Senior Pricing Analyst and later became a Manager in Pricing Optimization for a brief period. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Finance Manager - eCommerce, responsible for managing the P&L for the eCommerce division. Brian worked closely with the leadership team to implement winning strategies.

Brian returned to a talent-focused role in 2019 when they became a Corporate Recruiter at Michaels Companies, Inc. Brian later took on the role of Sr. Training Specialist from 2020 to 2021, where they designed and conducted training programs, leading training and change management meetings with business partners.

In 2021, Brian was promoted to Talent Acquisition Manager, leading a team of 3 Talent Acquisition Specialists responsible for non-technical Support Center recruiting. Their achievements included hiring and promoting numerous team members, revamping the On Campus Recruiting and Internship Program, and enhancing technical recruiting processes.

Most recently, Brian joined Platform Accounting Group in 2023 as a Sr Manager Talent Strategy & Development, where they utilize their expertise to shape and implement talent strategies for the organization.

Brian Carroll received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University in 2008. Brian then went on to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, which they completed in 2014.
