Joe Benson

Joe Benson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Joe is currently serving as the Vice President of Legal & Business Affairs at Platform Science since April 2023. Prior to this, they held roles as Senior Commercial Counsel and Commercial Counsel at the same company.

Before joining Platform Science, Joe worked at Carmel & Naccasha LLP as an Of Counsel since November 2020. From 2016 to 2020, they served as Senior Corporate Counsel, Corporate Counsel, and Contracts Manager at MINDBODY, Inc. Joe also worked as a Senior Contracts Specialist at United Technologies from 2013 to 2016.

Earlier in their career, Joe was a Legal Counsel at Benson Law from 2011 to 2013. Joe also gained valuable experience at The Boeing Company, where they held positions such as Contracts Administrator, Chief of Staff, and Project Manager from 2003 to 2011. Prior to that, they worked at Qwest Communications as a Senior Engineer and Network Management Technician from 1999 to 2003, and at Nortel Networks as a Network Technician from 1997 to 1999.

Joe Benson completed their education with a Juris Doctor degree in Intellectual Property from Whittier Law School, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Joe Benson also obtained certification as an attorney from the State Bar of California in June 2011.
