Shawna S.

Shawna S. has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as the VP of Engineering at Platform.sh since October 2023. Before that, they served as the Director of Engineering at the same company from July 2021 to October 2023. Prior to their roles at Platform.sh, Shawna worked as a Platform Engineer from July 2019 to July 2021. Shawna also founded Spectacled Web Services in December 2015, where they worked as a Drupal Developer and Founder until June 2022. Shawna's experience as a Drupal Developer includes a role at Washington State University from December 2016 to June 2019. Shawna also worked as a Web Specialist at Harvard Medical School in 2015 and held various roles at Harvard University, including Digital Coordinator from August 2012 to January 2015 and Project Manager from November 2011 to August 2012. Furthermore, Shawna worked as an Information and Communication Officer at the National Literacy Trust from May 2010 to October 2011 and as a Campaigns Assistant at The Stroke Association from August 2009 to May 2010.

Shawna S. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies and Political Science from UCLA from 2001 to 2005. Shawna then pursued a Master's Degree in Human Rights from UCL, which they completed from 2007 to 2008. Later, Shawna earned their Master's Degree in Information Technology from Harvard Extension School from 2013 to 2015. Shawna has also obtained additional certifications in Agile Boot Camp, ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, and Web Technologies.
