Eric Gervais

Eric Gervais serves as Chief Compliance Officer and Regulatory Counsel. Eric is responsible for overseeing all compliance and regulatory affairs for Platform Ventures and is also actively involved in strategic planning and fund formation. Prior to joining Platform Ventures, Eric served as Vice President and General Counsel of George K. Baum & Company, an SEC registered broker-dealer. At George K. Baum, Eric was responsible for the oversight and direction of all legal matters for the company, including the negotiation and documentation of the sale of the company to Stifel Financial in 2019. Prior to working at George K. Baum, Eric was a Partner at Husch Blackwell LLP, where he focused on securities, investment management, and mergers and acquisitions. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Missouri, where he was also a graduate of the Honors College. He earned his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law with a Business Enterprise concentration. He maintains licenses to practice law in Kansas and Missouri.
