Silas Magut

Silas Magut has a comprehensive work experience spanning various roles in the finance and insurance sectors. Silas started their career as an intern at Kenya Power in 2012. In 2013, they worked as an Underwriter at Gateway Insurance Company Ltd, where they were responsible for processing policies, endorsements, and correspondence. In 2014, they joined Chase Assurance as an Underwriter, where they focused on preparing quotations, providing customer service, and training Bancassurance Officers. Silas then transitioned to Platinum Credit Limited, where they held multiple roles. Silas started as a Sales Analyst, responsible for organizing and summarizing sales data. Silas later became a Portfolio Manager, where they collected and analyzed data for reports, communicated findings, and made recommendations. Finally, they were promoted to Head of Asset Finance and currently holds the position of Divisional Head - Asset Finance at Platinum Credit Limited.

Silas Magut completed their education at various institutions. In 2004, they attended Nairobi School and obtained their KCSE certificate, specializing in High School/Secondary Certificate Programs. From 2009 to 2013, Silas pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Statistics at the University of Nairobi. Later, from 2015 to 2016, they enrolled in the same university for a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance and Investments.
