Dr. Crystal Bobb-Semple

Dr. Crystal Bobb-Semple has extensive experience in the education and literary fields. Dr. Crystal founded Plato Learning LLC in 2010, where they served as the Founder and CEO. Plato Learning offers curriculum that combines reading, physical engagement, critical-thinking, and arts and crafts to promote literacy skills and interest. Through their summer camp and after-school programs, Plato Learning has provided services to over 3000 families. Prior to their work at Plato Learning, Dr. Bobb-Semple founded Brownstone Books, Inc in 2000, where they served as the Founder until 2010.

Dr. Crystal Bobb-Semple earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Literacy and Identity from the University of Pennsylvania, which they completed between 2016 and 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Metropolitan Infrastructure from the University of Delaware, completing it from 1992 to 1994. Dr. Bobb-Semple holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, which they earned from Hampton University between 1987 and 1991. Their education journey began at Brooklyn Technical High School, where they received a Regents Diploma in Electrical Engineering from 1984 to 1987. Additionally, it is known that they have been associated with the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree; however, information regarding the dates and field of study for this degree is not provided.
