Javier Camacho

Javier Camacho has a diverse work history with experience in public relations, communications, and government affairs. Javier currently holds the position of Director of Public and External Affairs, Strategic Communications, and Social Marketing at Platte River Power Authority. Prior to this role, Javier worked at El Paso Electric Company as a Public Relations and Corporate Communications specialist, where they managed media inquiries and press release distribution. Javier also served as the Public Information & Government Relations Officer at the Housing Authority of the City of El Paso, where they handled external and internal communications and served as the official spokesperson. Javier has also been involved in various community organizations, such as the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, where they served as a board member. Javier has a background in education as well, having held positions as a Speech & Debate Coordinator/Coach and a Social Studies Teacher. Overall, Javier brings a wealth of experience in communications and public affairs to their current role.
