Melie Vincent has a diverse range of work experience in the energy and power industry. Melie is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Platte River Power Authority. Prior to this, Melie was the Director of Operations at OMPA from November 2016 to June 2021. Melie also held the position of Business Advisor at Midcontinent Independent System Operator from April 2015 to November 2016. Additionally, Melie worked as the Power Supply Manager at Brazos Electric Power Cooperative from August 2012 to March 2015. Melie gained extensive experience as the Manager of Market Settlements - West Desk at ACES Power Marketing, where they managed analysts responsible for multiple customers and presented market concepts to clients. Melie also has experience in publishing as a Publisher at Rhyme & Reason Family Publications. Early in their career, they worked as an Economic Analyst in the Power Supply Division at Big Rivers Electric Corporation, where they provided data analysis and supported trading decisions.

Melie Vincent attended the University of Louisville from 1990 to 1993, studying Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Afterward, Melie pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at the University of Southern Indiana from 1993 to 1996.
