Gregory Maliassas

Gregory Maliassas is an experienced hospitality executive currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Playa Hotels & Resorts since November 2019. Previously, Gregory held the position of Senior Vice President Operations for Luxury & Premium Brands at Accor, overseeing a portfolio of over 40 hotels in Central & Eastern Europe. Prior roles include Senior Vice President Operations for Sofitel in the Middle East, Africa, and Indian Ocean, and Vice President Operations for Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe, where Gregory was responsible for multiple luxury hotel operations. Beginning a career in hospitality at Chandris Hotels as Regional Director of Operations, Gregory has also held various management roles at Sofitel and other hotel brands, showcasing a strong background in operational leadership and strategic management within the luxury hotel industry. Gregory's educational background includes studies at Les Roches, the University of Surrey, and the European School of Luxembourg.
