Clifton Dunford has an extensive work history spanning over 25 years. Clifton started their career in the US Navy as an Avionics Technician, specializing in maintaining and repairing avionics navigation and radio equipment. After their service in the Navy, Clifton worked as a Senior Electronics Technician at BWX Technologies, Inc. where they calibrated and repaired radiation detection devices.
Moving into the software engineering field, Clifton worked at Rockwell Collins, developing real-time software for the E2-C Hawkeye Simulated Maintenance Trainer. Clifton also gained experience in data collection and reduction software at JT3 and Avtech Research Corp.
Clifton's career in the gaming industry began at Rocket Gaming Systems, where they worked as a Software Team Lead, aligning teams and creating slot games. Clifton then joined Microdasys Inc. as a Lead Software Engineer before transitioning to Aristocrat, where they held multiple roles including Principal Software Engineer, Software Development Manager, and Director of Game Software Development. At Aristocrat, Clifton led the development of numerous licensed slot games and implemented workflow improvements.
After their time at Aristocrat, Clifton joined Aptiv as the Head of Engineering for the Las Vegas Technology Center, focusing on autonomous driving. Clifton aligned engineering efforts and achieved a successful commercial partnership with Lyft.
Currently, Clifton Dunford is working at AGS - American Gaming Systems as the Sr. Director of Technical Operations.
Clifton Dunford studied Computer Science at the University of Lynchburg from 2000 to 2004 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree.
