Chris White has been in the gaming industry since 2005. Chris began as a Graduate Student at the University of Virginia in 2005, and then moved on to become a Simulation Engineer at DCS Corporation in 2006. In 2007, they became a Server Engineer at Perpetual Entertainment, and then a Server Engineer at Mythic Entertainment, an EA studio in 2008. From 2009-2011, they were the Lead Server Engineer for Warhammer Online at BioWare Mythic. During this time, they also worked as the Lead Software Engineer for Wrath of Heroes, where they re-architected back end systems and created a technical plan to ensure development could be completed on an aggressive schedule. In 2011, they joined Riot Games as a Technical Director for R&D, a Senior Software Engineer for R&D Game Systems, and a Platform Engineer. Here, they made an immediate impact on the product by playing several key roles in getting League of Legends to over 99% uptime in the face of constant growth of the userbase. In 2018, Chris White became the CTO and Co-Founder of Player First Games.
Chris White attended the University of Virginia from 2001-2005, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Chris then returned to the University of Virginia from 2005-2007 and earned a Master's degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Jeb Stuart High School.
