Nicole Sonnert

Nicole Sonnert is a Venture Associate at Playground Global since September 2024, with prior experience as Director of Venture Capital Programming for the Yale Biotech Club and multiple roles at Canaan, including Canaan Fellow Consultant and Project Leader for the Canaan-Yale Venture Fellowship. Nicole has a solid research background, having worked as a Predoctoral Research Associate at Adimab, LLC, and in various research positions at prestigious institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Nicole holds a PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences/Microbiology from Yale University, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Arts in Biomathematics from Mount Holyoke College.
