Priyabrata Karmakar

Priyabrata Karmakar has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Priyabrata started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology in 2011 and then became an Assistant Professor at Surendra Institute of Engineering & Management in 2012. In 2014, they joined Federation University Australia as a Research Scholar and later worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution from 2018 to 2018. During their time at Federation University Australia, they also served as a Sessional Lecturer from 2020 to 2020. In 2018, they joined GippsTech as a Software Engineer and simultaneously worked as a PhD intern at KND Services. In 2019, they again worked as a Sessional Lecturer at La Trobe University. In 2021, they joined AG-AI Pty Ltd as an AI & Machine Learning Engineer and was responsible for developing computer vision and machine learning algorithms. Priyabrata also worked on deploying AI models in the cloud (AWS) and setting up interactions between S3, EC2, and RDS. Currently, Priyabrata is working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Playground xyz since 2023. Overall, their experience spans across research, teaching, software engineering, and machine learning.

Priyabrata Karmakar pursued their doctoral degree, completing a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Vision at Federation University Australia from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, they obtained several certifications related to deep learning applications, such as "Building and Deploying Deep Learning Applications with TensorFlow" from LinkedIn in September 2020, "Building Deep Learning Applications with Keras 2.0" from LinkedIn in August 2020, and "PyTorch Essential Training: Deep Learning" from LinkedIn in August 2020.
