Stephen McGovern

Stephen McGovern is an experienced program manager with a strong background in education and team leadership. At Playworks since September 2015, Stephen has managed and coached over eight school-based staff annually while organizing and facilitating staff training. Previously, as a team leader at City Year, Stephen supervised a diverse team of 16 AmeriCorps members, collaborating with school administrators to implement academic interventions and support initiatives for approximately 300 students. Stephen began the journey with City Year as a corps member, where a significant impact was made through tutoring and mentoring. Additional internships at Promotional Solutions, Inc., Regis College, and the Department of Conservation and Recreation round out a diverse experience portfolio. Stephen holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Management and Leadership, and Communication from Regis College.
