Dr. Steffen Zimmermann

Dr. Steffen Zimmermann is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the engineering and technology sectors. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at PLC2 since April 2018, Dr. Zimmermann previously held multiple leadership roles at Northrop Grumman LITEF GmbH from January 2005 to March 2018, including Head of Fiber Optic Sensors and Head of Central Engineering. Prior to that, a tenure at Micronas GmbH from September 2000 to December 2004 as a Concept Engineer laid the groundwork for earlier experience at LITEF GmbH from September 1995 to August 2000 as a System Engineer for Fiber Optic Gyroscopes. Dr. Zimmermann earned a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, completing studies from 1984 to 1995.
